The weather is getting hot again and the ultra violet is killing the chlorine in the water. Its time to check the stabilizer. If you look after your own pool you ought to check the level now. One pound of stabilizer gives ten parts per thousand in a ten thousand gallon pool. You will need the proper test kit to do the test. If you have been using tabs for a long period of time, the stabilizer might be high anyway.

The thing to do is, check the level first, add the stabilizer (probably less than you think you should) give it a week and check the level again. the trick is to build up the concentration gradually because once the stuff is in the water the only way to get rid of it is to drain water from the pool.
